Improve your writing with Microsoft Editor

We all write. CVs, emails, blogs, tweets, comments, you name it. It's something we do every day and it's second nature to us. That said, we're not very good at it.

Despite an individual average of 300 continuous writing hours per year, poor written communication skills are one of the most frequently stated workplace challenges.

It doesn't matter how we feel about it (and research shows most of us feel we are above average, which is a statistical impossibility), we could all do with some help improving our writing.

So here's today's tip: try Microsoft Editor!

Chrome or Edge extensions are available for free, but chances are you can access the advanced version (in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) if you already use Microsoft365 at work.

As a bonus, here are some great choices (with free features or trials) if Microsoft is not an option:

  1. Grammarly

  2. Outwrite

  3. Quillbot

  4. Wordtune
